We identified a gap that lead to the dire case of suicide, encouraging our audience to ‘Be a friend in need, not a friend in newsfeed’

A report was published from mental health institute and police department mentioning 28 people commit suicide every day in Bangladesh. The thought progressed further with the suicide of Chester Bennington, Zeheen Ahmed followed by other important deaths both locally and globally.

The main reasons for suicides were frustration, depression and being unheard.

Banglalink wanted to create awareness regarding suicide while also highlighting the importance of friendship. We identified a gap between the offline and online behavior of the youth.

We made a video and the content received organic recognition from local and international and became the most viewed and “Friendship Day” video from Bangladesh.
